Built Around Your Teen's Growth.

We call it the Vana Lab Signature Experience because no two experiences are the same — it’s as unique as your teen’s signature. Your teen will build the habits they need to thrive, supported by a dedicated coach and a plan that is personalized and flexes to their schedule.

Inside the Vana Lab Signature Experience

A Flexible, Personalized Coaching Journey — With Real Skills Built In

Step 1: Fit and Discovery

We meet with you and your teen to ensure fit with the coach and to understand their goals, interests, and what success looks like.

Step 2: Targeted Skill-Building

Each session is focused, practical, and tied to a real goal. We introduce a new success habit, strategy, or mindset — and your teen puts it into action.

Step 3: Growth and Adjustment

As your teen builds momentum, we review progress and adjust the coaching plan to keep them challenged and supported.

What This Looks Like in Action

What is it Like?

What's Possible

Maria was juggling AP classes, clubs, and volunteering—but felt overwhelmed. Through coaching, she learned to set boundaries, manage her energy, and launched a new mental health club at school. She also started thinking more strategically about her college applications and how to lead with purpose—not pressure.

Alex didn’t know what he wanted to work on and often gave up when things got hard. Through coaching, he broke down his goals into smaller, more achievable pieces, built emotional regulation skills, and developed strong habits to keep his commitments. He left more consistent, confident, and better equipped to manage frustration.

Jules was thoughtful and creative, but often kept to herself. Her parents worried she was hesitant to take initiative. With weekly coaching and supportive goal setting, she launched a poetry portfolio, asked a teacher to mentor her, and began participating more in class. She started owning her voice—not just her grades.

  • Setting and achieving goals

  • Taking ownership of their learning and growth

  • Emotional Intelligence

  • Influencing and Negotiating

Almost anything that’s meaningful to them—starting a passion project, applying for a summer program, creating something they care about, leading a school club, or building a creative portfolio. We help them choose and commit to a project that explores an interest and stretches them.

No two experiences are the same. We start by building a relationship with your child and understanding their strengths, interests, and goals. We take inventory of their current pursuits and future aspirations and prioritize key skills they can put to use immediately. We tailor our approach based on what works best for your child to see progress.

That’s often the case and part of the process! During the first session, we guide students through a discovery exercise to help them choose a goal that feels both meaningful and achievable. We continue to adjust as the relationship with your child deepens.

The Signature Experience is designed and led by Robert Chen—executive coach, Wharton lecturer, and WSJ best-selling author of Selling Your Expertise. He brings the same powerful coaching skills used with top executives to young people at a stage where it can change their growth trajectory.

We recommend committing to at least 4 weeks to see meaningful progress. That said, you can decide to continue, pause, or stop the experience at any time.
The longer we work with your child, the more personalized and impactful the experience becomes.

We typically meet weekly with your child for 1-hour virtually. We can be flexible in-terms of frequency based on what your child needs.

Yes—after a set of sessions, we send a written summary at the end, highlighting your child’s strengths, interests, and suggestions for continued growth. Optional check-ins are also available upon request.

We understand that life happens and designed this experience to allow for flexibility. We typically map out the month’s schedule with your teen.

For emergencies, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for rescheduling and aim to offer flexibility when needed. If you’ll be away for an extended time, we’ll work together to plan around it.
